Magpie's Nest Indoor Gift and Craft Market 18 May 2013

The big day finally dawned!

It was my first craft fair of the year, so I was a little nervous but also very excited. I had practiced setting up a couple times already so was quite prepared. My Mum was my trusty helper for the day and was wearing some of the pieces I had made for her so she was an excellent advert :-)

I was determined to be early and have the full hour to prepare which was really helpful. My helper and I managed to finish setting up with 20 minutes to spare so we could relax and have a quick look around at the other stalls.

There were a few other jewellery stalls, a cake stall, a tutu stall for little princesses (my favourite was the ladybird one - red with black spots), some handmade card stalls, a shabby chic home items stall, a cartoonist, a face painter, a handmade fabric bags and bunting stall, and a few others. My favourite was Linzi from Dangly Hearts (great name!) who had a stall full of sewn and embroidered gorgeous goodies. She had purses, kindle cases, make up bags, glasses cases, bunting, soft heart decorations, hair grips, keyrings, and a whole host of other items. Lovely! I bought a purse with little heart bunting applique / embroidered on in purple and blue - I love it.

We had the added bonus of being opposite the lady who made lovely cupcakes and the aroma was delicious! We did end up sampling her wares - it was too tempting not too.

This is my stall (minus the table of course) all
packed up ready to go home in only 2 bags!

The day went really well and although the market was not as busy as we expected we still managed to sell enough jewellery to make it worthwhile and really enjoy ourselves.

Terrible picture of me but here I am
To join in the fun keep your eyes peeled for the next event dates coming up and come and visit me!
